The City Bible Forum in Perth |
Life in the city is many things. It's fast, edgy, boring, exciting, frustrating, depressing and exhilarating. One thing it's not is simple.
The City Bible Forum addresses the complex issues that face city workers by doing something radical and yet somehow obvious: by reading and discussing the Bible. In the Bible we hear what the God who gives life to all of us has to say about life in the city.
Profile
City Bible Forum first met in 2002. Over the years our public meetings have steadily grown and now meet most weeks in the Central Park Theatrette. Meetings run in seasons, working through a topic or book of the Bible to see what God has to say. After each season a course introducing Jesus and his claims is run in one of the Central Park meeting rooms.
Like all people city workers want to place themselves in the bigger picture. What's the purpose of life? Where is our city headed? Where can I find lasting satisfaction? City Bible Forum aims to answer these questions by making the Bible plain to those working in the CBD.

What would you do if God gave you a sign? Would you listen to it? Is it what you've been waiting for all these years? A man named John lived 2000 years ago and was Jesus' best friend - he claimed to have seen 7 signs and written them down so that we might have good reasons to believe.
Join us as we investigate 7 signs - you might find what you've been waiting for.
04th February ... Water to wine 11th February ... Would you recognise a sign? 18th February ... A healing in a waiting room 25th February ... Feeding 5 thousand with 1 cut lunch 04th March ... I was blind but now I can see 11th March ... A healing at a funeral 18th March ... A sign for sceptics
Each of these lunchtime talks will run from 12:30-1:00pm in the Central Park Conference Centre (enter behind ecucina restaurant, 777 Hay St).
