What is the City Bible Forum? |
|
The City Bible Forum provides opportunities for people to make sense of life in the city. When you work in the city, you know just dealing with the day-to-day can be a real challenge. But there is definitely more to life than long hours in the office, crowds, queues, and late trains.
Through meetings and discussions, the City Bible Forum looks at how God's word can help all of us deal with the highs and lows of daily life and work in the city.

"Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God" Whether you count yourself as a 'Christian' or not, your life is sustained by God. As food gives strength to the body, so his words can give life to your soul. When God speaks, he confronts the paradoxes of life; he gives genuine freedom through forgiveness; and he brings us the joy of reconciled relationships. The City Bible Forum brings God's words to the workplace. Will you come and listen? |

The City Bible Forum offers a large programme of informal meetings in a format to suit busy city workers. Meetings are usually held at lunch times and last only 35 minutes. A light lunch is also provided. Venues vary from large, theatre style to more casual settings in cafes and pubs. No prior Bible knowledge is needed and ideas are discussed in a way that we can all relate to. Everyone is welcome regardless of their beliefs. You can sit at the back and be completely anonymous or as outspoken as you like in the discussion. |
